Hokkaido Trip (Otaru)

17th March 2012
Temp: -5'C
Visited: Otaru Canal

We take the train from Abashiri to Otaru. The journey take us about 5 hours + to reach Otaru @ about 5.30pm. However, when we reached, the sky again already dark. It was very cold & the distance from JR station to our hotel is quite far. On top, all of us carrying bulky bags is a bit tough and hard.

Hotel Nord Otaru
Price: 7,000 yen/night (2pax)
At this moment, Sheyanne was moody & keep on "lau gai" all the way. Daddy also angry and throw his temper on her. Pity girl. After check in, we out for hunt for our dinner. According to the hotel staff recommendation, we walked around Otaru Canal for dinner.
Our Dinner
At the end, we dined in a sushi restaurant as everyone already very hungry. And the restaurant last order is @ 9pm but when we reached already about 8.20pm. The food is so so nice & yummy. 4 of us (Suk Ee, Li Ee & us) sharing the dinner. The total bill about 7,000 yen.

 A very nice place...
After the satisfied dinner, we walked along the Otaru Canal for photos shooting. I love this place so much. It is really a nice scenery. But due to Ann was not feeling well after the dinner. We totally no mood and the camera battery is low @ the moment. Too bad.

After that, everyone back to hotel room to take bath and rest. Recharged for next day itenary. At this moment, I found that Jayne's Hayley doll was lost. OMG...how to sleep tonight? At first I thought we left in the restaurant, hope to go and find it next morning.

After bath, I asked hubby bring Ann go down walk walk without Hayley so that Jayne can borrow it a while to go into her sweet dream. Very fast, Jayne fall in sleep with Ann's Hayley doll also. But I can't sleep well as she woke up many times in midnight and I need to transfer the doll from one to another when any of them awake and look for it. Tortured!

Snowing
Visited: Music Box Musuem

We need to rush to the Otaru Music Box musuem by 9.30am. We start walking from Hotel to the musuem. But as we depart, it was snowing. So difficult to push the stroller on the snowing environment & the floor is slippery. Strong wind & heavy snow made all of us suffered. Hubby complained no breakfast arranged somemore.
@ Cafe for tea break since no breakfast
So we stop by some places to hunt something for breakfast. But too bad, there is none. All shop are not open yet. After reached to the museum, Ann, Yeah Huey (my cousin) & my SIL wanted to DIY a own and unique music box. Ann is getting excited.

She love her music box
 Snowing...Snowing...
The rest they go to the another shop to look and see for nice musuem box. Due to heavy snow, we hide under the shop for quite sometimes. After that, we walked back to hotel. Actually there is quite a long distance. Suppose my sis plan to take a train to go back to hotel, however we didn't wait for her. Sorry. A bit unhappy this morning.

After all, we left and depart for train to next destination to HAKODATE. Due to heavy snow and bulky luggages, the old & kids are difficult to walk to the train station. We took 3 taxi: one for my family (4 of us), one for my parents, & another one for my aunties and all luggages. My sis & my SIL walked under heavy snow to the train station. According to them, walk without luggages under heavy snow is not so tough. They feel free & easy while walking too,

I take away our lunch to had it on train from the convenient store @ the station.
