Shooter Ann

My Brother in law had addicted with the paintball game recently and he bought the gun. This look so real. To me, this is an adventure activities but also expensive to invest the equipment. Hehe:)
We asked her to act fierce!
 Shoot 1
 Shoot 2
The gun is quite heavy!

Angel & Stitch Bento

Copy the idea from mothering corner again. I not very familiar with the stitch character as I didn't watch any of the cartoon so far. I prepared the bread last night and cut the ham and store in fridge too. This is to shorten the preparation time in the morning.
Angel & Stitch
I feel a bit weird but Ann can recognise the Stitch too. She got to know this character in Tokyo Disneyland during the Japan trip in March. Haha:) She cleared all food today including the little piece of cake!

Marble Butter Cake with Honey Almond Crust

My last bake is not bad. This time I tried marble butter cake.

Ingredients:
125gm salted butter
2 eggs
30ml milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
100gm self raising flour
25gm + 75gm sugar
100gm almond flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder

Toppings:
50gm honey
80gm almond flakes
30gm butter

Method:
1) Preheat over 180'C, (I use rice cooker), separate egg white & yolk
2) Beat egg white until soft peak then add in 50gm sugar & beat.
3) Cream butter & 150gm sugar until pale then add in vanilla essence & egg yolk
4) Then add in half flour & half milk and beat slowly then the balance of the flour & milk beat until creamy
5) Then add in egg white to beat

6) Add in almond flour and mixed well.
7) Take out 1/3 of batter mixed with the cocoa powder
8) Pour in the plain batter 1st, the follow by the cocoa batter on top.
9) Bake for 45 minutes. (Rice cooker choose baking function and set timer for 45 minutes)
8) Pour in the toppings of almond crust on top of the baked cake and bake for another 10 minutes.

Toppings:
1) Mixed well with the butter and honey.
2) Make sure every piece of almond flakes is coated well.
 Look nice?

Yummy!
Marble Butter Cake
The almond crust is more crunchy as I pre-cook it before mixing with honey & butter. But I do not understand how come the almond crust cannot be stick well on the cake. Ann do not like the cocoa taste. She said it is bitter. However I believe majority of kids love chocolate flavor so much. She just like the plain one. Next round I have to pour in the toppings to bake together with the cake to let the almond crust stick together. Hopefully it will be more success next round. Looking forward!

Giraffe Bento

Wanted to try making this long time ago. Since topping up with mini sausage & quail egg I only prepared a slice of bread. For Ann portion, normally she can take 2 slices of bread. :)

Ann didn't eat the bread but she finished the rest! :)

Merry Go Round Family Day

Very seldom my in laws will be staying at home during weekends. Normally they spend their weekend in Genting Highland Casino. Since everyone is here, hubby said wanna cook at home for dinner. We went to IOI mall for a short grocery and supermarket shopping.

I m glad that Ann behaved so well today. Once reached IOI mall, she already knew there is a merry go round inside and requested to have a ride. Both of them enjoyed the ride so happy. It cost RM3/person per ride. Kind a expensive. Daddy promised only one round. Otherwise, sure they will make noise and request more rides and non stop.

 Jayne was so excited!

Happy Ann on reindeer
After the rides, we started our shopping in Jusco supermarket. Short shopping like this we spend almost 3 hours there.

Enjoying
The orange taste is not strong enough. The honey I had at home is not enough to coat every piece of almond flakes. The almond flakes is not crunchy as I didn't pre heat it. However, my family everyone enjoying it very much. Ann alone already clear 1/4 of the cake. It really thumbs up & my friends said it really look like from bakery shop. Haha:) Great to hear  that but still room of improvement.:)

Swim Date

Wanted to bring my girls for a long time. We are not staying in a condo which got pool. So need to go friends place or hotel only got chance to swim. Both of them like swimming so much. Today we had a swim date with Tan's brothers. :)
By pool side : Baby pool vs adult pool
 With float
 Started used with float
 Happily playing in pool
Naughty pie wanna slide from top into the pool
 Sweetie Ann
Bikini panty too loose (Jayne having smaller buttocks)
 Crawling up
Seated on the float...not scare at all!
 Look so good @ swimming
 Jumping into the pool
Gu jie teach Jayne swimming
We decided to swim in the morning so that they can have nap in the afternoon after swim. The baby pool dept is more deep compared to those we went before. Jayne enjoyed very much. She even wanted to swim in the big pool not the baby pool. But at the beginnings, she feels not comfortable with the bikini and she feel scared and do not want to get into the pool. But after once dipped her into the pool. She not willing to gone up anymore. She even learn jumping into the pool like the big kid did. Very funny.

On the other hand, Ann got phobia. She got an accident in Japan during onsen. Now she not so daring like her younger time. But after some sweet talk and with the help with the float, she is quite ok already. 1st time swimming without daddy coz daddy was busy painting the house during the  holidays. I bet, she will have more confidence on her daddy rather than 'kor kor'.

After the swim, kids take bath @ Alvin's house and kids were having some honey stars as snacks before we are leaving. :)
